The city of Ourense can be considered Galicia thermalism capital; in fact it is the second city in Europe by number of sources of underground waters. Its thermal heritage is enormously varied; including five free thermal areas, a new spa and a Japonese thermal circuit.
Apart from its outstanding waters, the three best-known symbols of the city are represented by: the hot springs of Burgas from which flows water at 67ºC continuously, the Cathedral dedicated to San Martín of Tours, this central building contains valuable historical art exhibitions, as well as the Gate of Paradise (polychrome model of the Portico de la Gloria), and the Roman Bridge that connects the two parts of the city divided by the river Miño.
The best way to discover Ourense is walking calmly through the streets and the margins of Miño river, and enjoying excellent food and wine. The friendly atmosphere is complemented by a great commercial offer.
